1 Tahereh Mafi - Shatter Me

2 Charlaine Harris - Sookie Stackhouse Novels

3 Nalini Singh - Guild Hunter

4 Chloe Neill - Chicagoland Vampires

5 JR Ward - Fallen Angles

6 Kelley Armstrong - Darkest Powers

7 Gena Showalter - Lords of the Underworld

8 Stephen King - Doctor Sleep

9 Amanda Hocking - Trylle Trilogy

10 Leigh Bardugo - Grisha Series

What authors have you been dying to read, but have been lost to your ever increasing TBR pile??

  3. I can say so much about your top 10!!! I just finished Sookies series... nope don't do it!! Definitely the Guild hunter one though... And Chicagoland.... But I couldn't get into the Fallen Angels series for some reason, and I love BDB!! Oh well!

    1. Lol I have a friend who would say the complete opposite about the Sookie books.. 2 actually now that I think about it. I knew you would root for Chicagoland! *Sigh* BDB has been there floating on the pile for so long...

    2. With the sookie series, I loved the first like 8 books, but the last few, especially 12-13 let it down I thought. But, you can't keep everyone happy!!

  4. OMG you have to read some of these author, like now. My suggestions: Mafi, Singh, Showalter, Ward, and Neill.

    1. *tee hee* Shatter Me is on my BOTM poll for next month. I really wish I could either read faster or find more time to read!!

  5. I haven't read any book by Stephen King yet. I hope to soon though. My sister is a big fan. I can highly recommend Tahereh Mafi! I loved the Shatter Me series.

  6. You have to read Nalini Singh. Guild Hunter or Psy-changeling series. They are both brilliant. I have read every book that she has out and re-read some of them several times.

    1. I know! You introduced me to Nalini Singh a while ago.. Gosh.. She is on my list for BOTM next month :)

  7. I'm with you on most of those. They're on my TBR list but haven't managed to work their way to the top of the pile yet. The only series I've read is the Trylle Trilogy, but that was quite a while back. I really enjoyed it.
    Happy Tuesday :)

    1. I love following your blog when you are busy with a series, like with the Covenant books. I know what you mean about the TBR list, it has been shuffled so many times it is a royal mess now!

  8. I actually haven't read any of the series on your list, save for the Charlaine Harris books (just the first one, though, so it doesn't count), but I have read a few of the authors, my favorite of which has to be Gena Showalter – her books are just so inventive and quirky. I've been really really wanting to read the Guild Hunter series, The awakening, and Shadow and Bone (which I'm secretly hoping wins this month's book club pick). Our tastes cross over so often, it's a little scary ha ha.

    1. Ha ha ha it sounds like we have the same problems when it comes to books!! *tee hee* I just choose 5 books off my TBR mountain and let who ever votes decide. that way I have to read that book! I think it's when it comes to finishing a series that I need to start making a dent...

  9. Oh yes, I haven't read a lot of these either!

    1. Don't worry the only one on your list that I read was Richelle Mead! There are just so many great authors out there...

  10. I've read all of those except Gena Showalter and Doctor Sleep :) If you like fantasy even a little bit, Shadow and Bone is pure awesomeness. The Darkest Powers I could take or leave, and I dnf The Trylle Trilogy.

    1. Glad to get another good recommendation for Shadow & Bone, I have been wanting to read for at least 6 months! hmmm... you are the second person to tell me Trylle was not that great...

  11. I'd like to read Tahereh Mafi and Chloe Neill's titles, too!!
As for JR Ward, sigh... I'm deeply and irrevocably in LOVE with BDB (I'm counting the days separating me from The King!), but still have to read the Fallen Angels series. Anyway, I have all the instalment out so far, so I'm prepared ;)

    1. Lol sounds like you are going to have a read-a-thon ready with the Fallen Angels series :) I also prefer to read a series that way, I hate waiting for releases!

  12. Showwalter can be hit or miss with me, but some of these authors are not to be missed!

    1. Really? it is the first time I have heard that about Showalter. I know I really am trying to get through my reading pile. Lucky you are running an awesome TBR read-a-thon!!

  13. I'm so glad I'm not alone in not having read the Shatter Me series. I feel like everyone loves it! I enjoy Gena Showalter, but I have to be in the right mood for her books. I have only read the first two in the Lords of the Underworld series.

    1. You are not alone Alexis!! But I think we need to rectify this matter soon :) Hmm interesting perspective about Gena S. Thanks for the visit!

  14. Leigh Bardugo made my list too. And I probably should have put Tehereh Mafi and Charlaine Harris on my list, though truth be told I have no desire to read the Sookie novels. :D So many authors, so little time. *Sigh* :D

  16. You should definitely read Shatter Me :) You've got a lot on your list that should be on mine as well (3, 5, 7, 9, 10).

  17. Oh yeah, I've never read Tahereh Mafi's books before and I so want to. I'm already a fan of hers though, she's fun to follow! Another one would be John Green and his famous The fault in our stars book, that book is still waiting for me to pick it up. Pronto, pronto. :)

  20. Ooh, we should have a Sookie Stackhouse read-a-thon together! I've read all of them except the last two. I love that series! I've been wanting to reread them! I'm not sure I've heard of Nalini Singh, but I'll check out the book on Goodreads. :)

So besides Charlaine Harris, I've read Stephen King and that's it for your list. The rest of the authors are ones I want to read, too. I haven't read Doctor Sleep but have read The Shining, one of my favorite novels. I think the first Stephen King novel I read was Carrie. Love that book! Thanks for visiting my Top Ten Tuesday, Chene! :)

    1. That sounds awesome! I have heard great things about Nalini and it was highly recommended by my friend Claire :)

I haven't tried too many horror novels, maybe because I love Cozy romances *tee hee* if only I had more time to squeeze in reading :)
